Treasurer:
Denise Stone
- Denise has been involved with
PVAC for four years and has been voted in as our new
PVAC Treasurer. Her two children both
swim, Spencer (9/10) and Morgan (11/12). Denise and her husband are
part-owners of Professional Pharmacy in Pottstown and she works part-time as
Manager and Gift Buyer for their gift department. Well organized and
efficient, Denise is responsible for tracking the profit and loss of
merchandise for the pharmacy. In addition to her involvement with PVAC, she
has been a Girl scout leader as well as cookie mom for 6 six years. Denise
feels that PVAC is a great swimming/diving organization that has contributed
immensely to her children's personal, social and physical growth; the role
of treasurer is a great way for her to contribute back to everyone who has
been a part of PVAC.
SAL Girls Representative:
Kristin Marano
- Kristin has been voted in as our new
SAL Girls Representative. Her daughter
Alyssa, age 10, is swimming in her third year with PVAC , her second year in
USA Swimming and also swam two summers at Skippack. Kristin has gotten to
know the sport of swimming pretty well over the past three years, including
what's involved in the overall PVAC season, dual meets and invitationals.
She has also enjoyed getting to know many of the parents involved with PVAC.
Kristin works full-time at Unisys as a Digital Marketing Manager and has
strong organizational and project management skills, both which will benefit
the position of being a SAL Rep.
SAL Boys Representative:
Quan Nguyen
- Quan, the father of Dax,
has been involved with PVAC for two years and has been voted in as our new
SAL Boys
Representative. As a guppy parent, he volunteered his time in various on
deck activities at meets. This year, he took the time to become a stroke and
turn judge as another way to give back and help increase the number of
individuals able to provide this service at meets. Quan considers being a
member of the board as another way of being able to give back to PVAC and a
way to support the organization and encourage young swimmers in developing a
competitive spirit, healthy lifestyle, and lasting friendships.
SAL Diving Representative:
Nicole Benner
- Nicole has been voted in as our new
PVAC Diving Representative
and is excited
to take on this new role with PVAC. Her children, Josie and Nolan have been
swimming for PVAC for 4 years, and Josie has also been a PVAC diver for the
past 2. Nicole works part-time at Merck and is also a Girls on the Run
coach, empowering pre-teen girls to develop self respect and healthy
lifestyles through exercise. PVAC’s diving team has more than doubled in
size during the past year and Nicole will work with the PVAC board and
coaches to enhance the PVAC diving experience. In addition to attending PVAC
and SAL meetings, she will also work with the coaches to ensure that the
team is adhering to SAL diving regulations, and coordinate the dual diving
meets.
USA Representative:
Gary Yaglenski
- Gary has been voted in as our new
PVAC
USA
team representative. As a new member to
the PVAC family, Gary has been excited and impressed with the enthusiasm and
energy of the coaches, families and board of directors. He and his wife have
three children swimming for PVAC - TJ (10), Brien (8) and Kathryn (5). They
have been avid fans of invitational meets as they give the kids the
opportunity to swim in events that they choose. Gary has enjoyed his first
year with the USA program and looks forward to going to Junior Olympics with
the PVAC team. He regularly attends PVAC events and will enjoy the
opportunity to help continue to grow the PVAC USA Program.
PVAC/PVSD Liaison: Mary Gentleman
- Mary has been voted in as our
new
PVAC/PVSD Liaison. Her daughter, Kaylee (7)
has completed 2 seasons of swimming with PVAC. Mary has served as a board
member of various PVSD Home and School Organizations within the district and
has also worked with various members of the PV Community. Her years of a
volunteering at PV have provided her with many years experience interacting
with parents, administrators and district level representatives. Her
knowledge, experience and contact within the school district make Mary an
excellent choice for PVAC/PVSD Liaison. Her daughter truly enjoys the time
she spends with PVAC and Mary looks forward to many more swim seasons and
becoming an active member of the PVAC Board.
Congratulations to all of our new board
members!
